A: The Outpost 6.5 uses a proprietary camper construction methodology created by a company called Total Composites. This composite camper body uses a unique method of construction that maintains an industry leading R12 insulation value, and is virtually thermal transfer free, mitigating almost all risk of condensation.

A. The base model Outpost 6.5 starts at $34,995.00 plus taxes

Q: How much does the Outpost 6.5 weigh?
A.The dry weight of the base model Outpost 6.5 is 1558 lbs. This does not include the weight of the camper jacks or any additional accessories added to the base model.

A. The advanced Lithium Ion electrical system standard on the Outpost 6.5 can recharge via solar, your vehicle’s alternator, or shore power.
Q: What is the warranty for the Outpost 6.5 camper?
A: The Outpost 6.5 comes with a 1 year limited warranty that begins on the date of delivery of the camper.
Q: What trucks with the Outpost 6.5 fit?
A: The Outpost 6.5 is a true slide-in camper designed to fit full size ½ ton trucks and up.

A: Outpost Campers are currently only sold directly to customers from our headquarters in SW Colorado.
Q: How do I secure my Outpost 6.5 to my truck?
A: The Outpost 6.5 comes standard with an internal tie-down system to secure the camper to the inside tie-down points of your truck bed with marine style transom straps. You can also secure the camper with traditional truck tie-down methods like Torklift or Happijac systems using the tie down points on the camper jack mount brackets.
Q: Can I use the camper for camping when it is off the truck?
A: The Outpost 6.5 is fully removable from the truck using the four standard manual camper jacks. When the camper is not secured to a truck, it is necessary to support the cabover portion for safety reasons.
Q: Can I add an air conditioner to my Outpost 6.5?
A: The Outpost 6.5 is pre-wired for a Nomadic X2 48v DC air conditioner. This can be added later or included as an option for pre-built orders. Adding the air conditioner replaces the Maxxair deluxe roof fan with Maxxair Dome fan.
Q: What is the “center of gravity” of the Outpost 6.5?
A: The center of gravity on the Outpost 6.5 is 23.5″ rearward from the front wall of the camper.
