At Outpost Campers, our mission has always been simple: build the most capable lightweight truck camper in the world at a great value. Since launching the Outpost 6.5, we’ve listened closely to our customers, invested in more capable materials, and refined nearly every detail of our design and build.
This October, we’re announcing a price increase effective November 1. Before then, customers can still secure the Outpost 6.5 at current pricing* with a deposit placed by October 31. I wanted to share more about why this change is coming, and where we’re headed next.

1. Listening to Owners, Building Better Campers
Owner feedback continues to guide our design process. Requests for more storage, additional optional add-ons, and simple, reliable systems have shaped features like our MOLLE panels and indoor shower enclosure. We’ve also heard loud and clear that true off-grid capability is non-negotiable, so we made a 5kWh LFP battery a standard feature. We are so excited to show you what else we have been working on soon!
2. Ultimate Capability and Comfort
The Outpost 6.5 isn’t just light, it’s built for four-season adventure. With an optional diesel heater and 48v A/C plus industry-leading insulation owners are camping year-round in conditions down to -15ºF and up past 95ºF. The virtually condensation free construction set a new bar for what a truck camper can be.
3. Why Prices Are Increasing
Like many manufacturers, we’ve faced rising material and labor costs. At the same time, we’ve continued to invest in innovation and build quality. The upcoming price adjustment ensures we can keep delivering the performance, durability, and comfort that our community expects.
4. Looking Ahead
We’re not slowing down. The Outpost 6.5 is just the beginning – we’ve added more talent to our design team to expedite the design process for more optional add-ons and other models that have been highly requested. We’re also nearing completion on a brand new production facility in Bayfield, CO that will allow us to optimize our process even more. The future of Outpost Campers is about pushing boundaries while staying true to our roots: lightweight, durable, adventure-ready design at a great value.
