Optional Add-Ons Guide

Here at Outpost Campers we are on a mission to build the world’s most capable truck camper at an incredible value. We believe that the standard build achieves this for most people but also understand that there are people out there who want to push their adventures further, for longer, and in the harshest of climates. With this in mind we have offered several optional add-ons since we launched that can make the Outpost 6.5 that much more capable, regardless of the season. We just added two additional add-on options and want to go more in-depth on what they are and how they can enhance your adventures in your Outpost 6.5!

New Optional Add-ons Available!

Indoor Shower Enclosure – $385

This collapsible shower enclosure gives you the ability to shower inside your Outpost 6.5! If you select this option we will add hooks to the ceiling of your Outpost 6.5 where the shower curtain hangs from that is then attached to a portable shower basin with magnets.

Front Panel Window – $1150

Measuring 300mm x 1100 mm this optional long window from Artic Tern gets installed on the front panel (above the logo panel) of the Outpost 6.5 giving you a large window to view stars at night or create more airflow in the bed area. Complete with an awning style opening and integrated bug and privacy curtains just like the four Artic Tern windows that come standard on the Outpost 6.5.

What Do you get with the add-ons?

We believe that the standard build of the Outpost 6.5 is one of the best value campers on the market and has all the systems most adventures call for. We’ve developed the optional add-ons for those that want to push their adventures further, stay longer, and camp in comfort regardless of the weather.

Below we’ve broken down the add-ons by category to help you understand how you can utilize the optional add-ons:

Climate Control

The Outpost 6.5 is incredible well insulated by nature due to the composite construction. The standard build comes with a Maxxair Deluxe Fan and 4 Artic Tern windows which creates amazing airflow to keep the camper cool during the heat of the day. When night falls and the temps drop the insulated nature of the camper means that your body heat can do a surprisingly great job of heating up the inside of the camper. However, if you want the ultimate comfort or want to push extreme heats in the summer and cold in the winter we highly recommend looking at our climate control add-ons.

Climate Control Add-Ons: Diesel Heater Box, DC Powered Air Conditioner, Arctic Tern Wildlands Door Cover

Extra Power

Powered by Ecoflow, the Outpost 6.5 standard build comes with a complete off-grid electrical system. Featuring a 2kw battery, 250w of roof mounted solar and 3 modes of charging the system. If you want to have A/C or are a heavy power user we highly recommend getting the extra battery and roof mounted solar panel to maximize climate control performance.

Learn more about the electrical system over at our Off-Grid Electrical System Overview resource.

Electrical System Add-Ons: Extra 2kw Battery, Additional Rooftop 250w Solar Panel, Fold Out 400w Solar Panel

Truck Capability

4 Mechanical jacks come standard on the Outpost 6.5. The standard mounting brackets will fit a variety of trucks but if you have a larger truck with a wide rear wheel area you may consider getting the extension plate for the front jacks to make putting on and taking off the camper a bit easier.

Indoor Shower

By popular demand we have added the option to shower inside the Outpost 6.5! The indoor shower enclosure adds 2 small mounting points to the ceiling where you hang the enclosure.
